Sapling issue # 846
The one in which we talk to Dan Mahoney of Bateau Press.
Hi writers.
Another review outlet down: The Washington Post Book World, the longstanding books section of the paper featuring book reviews, among other literary coverage, will shutter following massive layoffs announced last week. This is one in a growing list of blows to publishers seeking review outlets for their books, following the closures or sunsetting of book coverage at The Associated Press, Bookforum, and many online outlets over the past decade.
Giant sigh.
Now, here’s what’s happening in the small press world this week.
