Hi writers.
The story broke on April 1st, but no foolin’: NaNoWriMo is shutting down after twenty-five years. The nonprofit (a shortening of National Novel Writing Month) was unable to recover from several scandals in recent years. The closure marks the end of an era for many emerging writers, but just because the organization is no more, one can, of course, still kick-start their novel-writing journey in November, whether that means writing toward a 50,000 word goal or simply getting your butt in front of your computer every day.
Now, here’s what’s happening in the small press world this week.
